Role:

To develop and prepare designs and engineering documents designed by the electrical
Scope of work defined for a particular contract.

Responsibilities:

1. The Engineer shall the undertake electrical design associated with the following electrical equipment;-

- Power Generation
- Transformers
- HV & LV switch gear
- Power distribution
- Cables
- UPS
- Motors
- Control and monitoring systems
- Variable speed drives
- Subsea Systems
- Navaids
- Weight control
- Package units
2. Liaise with and co-operate with other members of the project team to deliver the assigned activities in accordance with the Company safety policy.
3. Check drawings and documents in accordance with 3319-100 and maintain an auditable record of these checks.
4. Report to the Lead Electrical Engineer or supervising engineer on a regular basis as required.
5. Carry out other duties as may reasonably be considered to be a function of a competent engineer as applicable and as directed.
6. Specify and Requisition all equipment and materials as directed by the Lead Engineer.
7. Execute and have checked/approved all necessary calculations and studies required within the work scope.
8. Undertake site visits and visits to vendor establishments during the execution of his/her project work scope.

Qualifications:

- MUST HAVE A DEGREE
- 5 years Oil & Gas experience
- 10 years engineering experience
- Reasonable written communication skills.

9. Identifies Gov./ regulatory permits as well as feedstock/utility allocation.
10. Identifies HSE and social issues, qualitative risks and obstacles and identifies further work if needed.

Skills

1. Bachelor’s degree Economics, Engineering, Science or an equivalent discipline.
2. A post graduate qualification in Business or Economics is desirable.
3. Minimum 10 years' work experience, including mining or a related industry.
4. Proven track record in leading business development in a large organization.
5. Fluency in spoken and written English
