PROJECT manager BUILDING CONTROLS

Our client is a multibillion dollar business that installs and maintains the systems to help keep buildings and facilities safe, secure, comfortable and cost-efficient. They specialize in installation and service of critical building systems, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), building automation, fire, security and energy management.

This role has become vacant due to the current incumbent relocating to a promotion with the business overseas. Responsibility of the role include

1. Managing multiple generally large size, long cycle time projects (>$250K)

2. Deliver jobs on time, under cost and at customer sigma of 4.5 or better.

3. Manage a total of $2.0-3.0 million in revenue annually. PM manages smaller jobs, generally $50K to 250K. Also PM is required to provide limited support to the small jobs technicians ( jobs generally < $50K). This support will consist of administrative tasks, forecasting, billing, SC paperwork.

4. Maintain unbilled receivables on a monthly basis for total jobs managed and be responsible for meeting or exceeding working capital region plan (for your assigned jobs).

5. Job site managing and coordinating construction activities with customer, GC, subcontractors, Company personnel, etc.

6. Provide accurate forecasts for revenue, GM and resource requirements to PML. Support pole initiatives for SM, SDC, risk reviews, etc.

7. Understand Project Velocity recommendations and take ownership of savings targets for each category as it applies to your projects. Specifically focus on C.O. Management and savings from engineering and tech labor due to re-use and/or outsourcing to low cost centers.

8. Execute S.C.s(Sub Contracts) per guidelines and follow SM issued procedures. PM should review every S.C. for T&C's, scope, flow downs from prime, payment terms, etc. to ensure compliance. Develop and execute project closeout plan for each job. This should include but not be limited to the project commissioning binder and sign off sheets.

To apply for this role you must be an accomplished Project manager who has a strong understanding of DCS systems with respect to efficient building solutions. You must be competent in managing multiple projects and preferably have an understanding of c-bus. We expect the successful candidate will come from a smaller firm and is looking to take the first of many steps in forging a large scale career with us. Industries of interest for us include PMs from HVAC, BAS, and automation backgrounds. Remuneration on this role will depend on experience and your potential. We expect this role will pay circa $100K base salary plus generous ($18K) car allowance, superannuation and all tools of trade. In addition there are bonuses for efficiency.
