My client is a leading supplier, fabricator and erector of quality fabricated steel components and structures for the mining, industrial commercial and multi level high-rise industries.

Due to recent growth and success an exciting opportunity currently exists for a Senior Estimator to join the team. To be successful for this position you will need at least five years relevant experience with Steel Fabrication with a solid knowledge and understanding of Australian standards for fabricated Steel and structural work.

Typical projects you will be working on consist of shopping centers, schools and commercial and industrial buildings and bridges estimating on Presssure Vessels, Columns, Trusses, Frames, Beams, Purlins, Trestles, Conveyor Gantries, Mineral Processing Plants, ROM Bins, Crusher and Screening structures, Bridges, Walkways, Stairs, Platforms, Handrails, Guards, Grating, Conveyor Supports, Towers, Pipe Racks and Mechanical Support Steel.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

A minimum of 5 years experience estimating on complex Steel fabrications

A trade background as a Boilermaker or Steel Fabricator or;

Tertiary qualifications as a Structural, Mechanical or Civil Engineer

High attention to detail and very accurate with the ability to read Structural Engineering Drawings

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Customer focused with the ability to meet deadlines

Reliable and career oriented

Computer literate with experience with drafting software programs
